chickens

Since the last picture one baby chick died of natural causes and 3 were lost when the dog broke into the coop and killed them. New chicks were added to the flock that were a little bit older and were determined to be hens. Now I have 5 different breeds and 6 chickens. Here they are

Here is the chicken coop I built and the baby chickens that will soon live there.

This popped up among my weeds. I havent ever seen it before. I think Im going to let it grow up a bit to see what it is.

Cool bush

This bush is growing out in the backyard. I dont know what kind it is. Anybody have any ideas?

first tomato

It wont be long until we are picking our first tomatoes. Here is the first one. Click on the picture if you cant see it.

2nd cloneing attempt

I tried cloneing a rose directly in the ground. It died very quickely. I am going to try again in a more controled envoirnemt. I mixed the rooting hormone in the vase water and when I

begin to see roots form I will add a couple tablespoons of soil each day to hep prevent shock on the roots.

Next project

Time to start building the fence on the other side of the house so the dog and kids will be completely trapped. There is a ton of work to do before I can even start.
